The World Car Awards

The World Car Awards were inaugurated in 2003 in an effort to reflect the reality of the global marketplace for vehicles of all kinds. In 2022, there were six categories: World Car of the Year, World Luxury Car, World Performance Car, World Electric Vehicle of the Year, World Urban Car, and World Car Design of the Year. In each category, a panel of more than 100 jurors from dozens of countries around the world are tasked with determining which vehicles rank the highest. The contenders include every global automobile manufacturer, so the stakes are high.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 Awards

Taking home a World Car Award in any category is highly prestigious, but Hyundai won IONIQ 5 rewards in three different categories: World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, and World Electric Vehicle of the Year. This outstanding achievement – becoming the recipient of half of all the World Car Awards in a single year – serves as a testament to Hyundai’s dedication to innovation – and to providing consumers with an excellent opportunity to explore the world in a way that is eco-conscious and luxurious at the same time.

About the Hyundai IONIQ 5

The 2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5 awards were based on numerous state-of-the-art features, such as Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), which allows the vehicle to park itself when no driver is present. It offers Smart Cruise Control (SCC), which uses radar to maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead when Cruise Control is utilized. The vehicle even monitors the driver’s habits so it can provide accurate warnings for things like drowsy or inattentive driving. Paired with features like Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot View Monitoring, Surround View Monitoring, Safe Exit Assist, and Rear Occupant Alert, the IONIQ 5 is truly a smart vehicle that offers convenience and safety like never before.

Thanks to a partnership with Electrify America, every purchase of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 comes with two years of unlimited complimentary charging sessions. Now is the time to begin your journey into the future around Rancho Cordova with some of the smartest and safest EV technology in existence.
